You end up spending twice the money here that you would at Walmart. The employees are very friendly. Lines go by fairly quick. As a warning, ALWAYS make sure there is a safety seal on your bottles and containers. I got some orange juice one day that I found out had been opened. I often buy the Maola (Marva Maid) gallons of chocolate milk, and half the time when I go to buy it, there isn't a single gallon in stock. Also, I have bought a bag of Lindt Lindor chocolate truffles here twice, and they had been melted and had a horrible texture and unusual flavor. They need to make sure that chocolate doesn't melt on the way to the store. Other than that, it's fine.
Friendly and reasonable prices. Had everything we needed.

Worst food lion i have ever been to.If it wasn't for a couple of nice people that work there ,i would never go back.I bought a house close by that's why i shop there. I have shopped at food lion for about 26 years That is by far the worst store.Food lion is scraping the bottom of the barrel with the amherst location.The people are the most hateful i have ever had the displeasure of coming in contact with. One cashier , because she was just being Nasty ,told me to leave and not come back. Don smith ,Disappointed customer.
